Inspector

Main duties:-
Inspection (first off and final inspection) of machined components using conventional metrology
equipment and coordinate measuring machines.

Preparation of components for dispatch to customers. This may involve manual finishing (de-burring/polishing)
so that components are presented in the right condition to be incorporated in to customers’ product.
Maintaining records and following procedures as per the Company’s ISO9001 quality system.

Requirements:-
Fully experienced in the use of conventional metrology equipment and manual coordinate measuring machines.
Thorough understanding of engineering drawings including geometrical tolerancing.

Experience of working within an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment and of calibration systems would be advantageous.

Hrs Mon – Thurs 08:00 – 13:00 13:30 – 17:00 Fri 08:00 – 13:00

Salary negotiable depending on experience.


CNC TURNER – Setter/Operator

We are currently seeking to recruit a fully skilled CNC Turner.

You will be responsible for setting and operating of CNC lathes equipped with Fanuc controls manufacturing short and medium batch high precision components in a wide variety of materials. You will be driven by a passion for quality and will be experienced in using a variety of inspection equipment to monitor product quality throughout a batch. We offer an excellent environment with varied and interesting work.

Requirements :

Time served, fully skilled machinist.

Experience in the manufacture of low volume high quality instrument and or aerospace type components.

Experience with Fanuc controls.

Diligent flexible approach and a fine eye for detail.

Good understanding of geometrical and dimensional tolerancing.

The successful candidate will be self disciplined and have the ability to remain on task when unsupervised. They will also be able to use their own initiative to efficiently progress work through the section to achieve productivity goals.

Instrument Assembler

We currently have a vacancy for an Instrument Assembler.

You will be involved in the assembly of small intricate precision electro-mechanical units for scientific instrument applications.

Operating as part of our assembly team, you will have a diligent aptitude, excellent dexterity and a fine eye for detail. You will be responsible for building complex electro-mechanical assemblies and have the ability to work from detailed engineering drawings in a timely manner to meet production schedule requirements.

The successful candidate will have a sound mechanical engineering background, will be extremely organised and be able to prioritise workload to ensure customer schedules are met.

Experience in one or more of the following disciplines would be a distinct advantage, UHV System build, Clean Room Assembly Protocol, Electrical Soldering, Basic Wire Loom Manufacture, Vacuum Leak Checking and or TIG welding for UHV applications.

Salary negotiable depending on experience.

Hours Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 13:00 13:30 – 17:00 and Friday 08:00 – 13:00


Highly Skilled Manual Machinist
We are currently seeking to recruit a highly skilled manual machinist, potentially from a tool making background. The ideal candidate would be a multi skilled machinist with experience of producing high precision components, both in small batches and as 1 offs for jig and fixture production. The ideal candidate will have wide ranging skills and be experienced in turning, milling, cylindrical & surface grinding and jig boring.

Requirements:
Time served, fully skilled machinist.
Experience of the manufacture of low volume high quality instrument type parts or tool making.
Diligent flexible approach and a fine eye for detail.
Ability to work from written operation instruction or direct from component drawing with a good understanding of geometrical and dimensional tolerancing.

The successful candidate will be self disciplined and have the ability to remain on task when unsupervised.
They will also be able to use their own initiative to efficiently progress work through the section to achieve productivity goals.
